Nope, I am not going to post pictures of my breast post surgery. You are off the hook! But I do have a new boob. It looks different but MUCH better than I had feared it would after this latest surgery. When the area by my side/underarm was excised, the skin had to be pulled tightly to close it. So the breast was actually pulled towards that are towards my side.
The surgeon was able to use the same incision site from earlier surgeries and mastectomy so that is a plus in two ways. First, no new scar lines. Second, that incision site is mostly numb due to those earlier surgeries. So the pain I feel is from the tissue being excised and the implant being removed and replaced so the hematoma could be cleaned out. Again, I think all of this is worthy of pain meds which I unfortunately can't tolerate.,
So, I am going to look different. I am hoping that it will not be noticeable through my clothing. But I will see it in the mirror. I know it's another assault on my body leaving a permanent change. But today, this is all I have to worry about. Hopefully my pathology report will be available this week. I am literally praying that I will not need any more surgery. So this is it, for now.
Greetings 😊
Thank you for the update- I think this update sounds very positive and promising. As you mentioned, using the same incision site was a good thing and having the hematoma cleaned out seems like a step in the right direction. Two more battles won!!! Continue to win the war!!!!
Have a peaceful day my friend 🥰
