The aftermath of Round 2 was improved in the sense that I was able to keep the nausea and vomiting under control with the change-up of meds. But Saturday night I spiked a fever and ended up in the ER for IV antibiotics. Prudent, the oncologist on call said. But no one wants to go to the ER and especially not on a Saturday night. (Note: Surprisingly not too bad.)
Now I am mostly down to general body pain. Keeping on top of the meds help.
I went in this morning for labs and a white blood cell booster shot. Fortunately, my labs were pretty good and I was spared the injection. It only makes your body, especially the bones, hurt even more.
So I am getting a few things done and am showered and out of bed. I'm crawling out from under that chemo rock.
Once again, thank you for all the calls, texts, and emails checking in to see how I'm doing. Please forgive a temporary silence at times as I just work on just getting through the day. But I so appreciate you for understanding that it is hard and the support is so wonderful to have. Blessed yet again.
