Happy Thanksgiving

I get today off..... Due to the holiday, chemo was moved up to Wednesday (yesterday). I tried getting the week off but was assured they had a chair ready and waiting for me......

I'll be brief: it was another rough week. I am starting to allow myself to hear my doctor that they are just goimng to be harder. Symptom and side effect mamangement are my friends.......

I will be having a bone scan as soon as insurance authorizes. It's time to rule out mets to bones.

I did get out to Turkey Bingo at church for an hour last weekend. I won the very first game!

Perhaps I will write more about the rest of my medical updates later on. But mainly I wanted to share that another week is creossed off the list and that I actually went out and did something fun for an hour.

Most importantly, I wish to share my gratitude for the many blessings I have been given. First I give thanks for God and His presence in my life. Second I give thanks for continued life and the hope for healing and a cure.

But it is the daily presence ad actions of my family and friends for which I am focused on right now. I truly, literally, and genuinely would not have made it this far without you all. Thank you for being your unique self and sharing that with me. As odd as it is, this cancer has strengthened and bonded me with many of you in ways that I can't well describe.

I am thankful for all of you. I am grateful for all of you. And I appreciate all of you.

I wish for you a fabulous drama-free Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Know you are valued. Know you are loved.

P.S. I would be remiss to not give a shout out to my entire team at CancerCare Northwest. Although I have not named names due to privacy issues, I am impressed and grateful for each and every one that I come into contact with.

Happy Thanksgiving!
