Round 4

A lot has happened or changed in the past week. I felt better than earlier rounds in some ways and worse in others. New symptoms led to another ER visit. I shaved what was left of my hair. I started wearing a mask when outside my house. I suppose, in a way, I am finally looking and acting like a cancer/chemo patient.

The upside is my counts have really responded to the white blood cell booster shots. So much so that this week I will not need the shots. Hooray! Their aftermath is rather unpleasant so I will take any reprieve I can get!

We have generously received many meals from friends. Thank you-it truly makes a difference! And thank you also for the cards, emails, calls, and flowers. I truly never feel alone.

I won't belabor the rest in a lengthy update. I am slowing down and feeling the cumulative effect of the chemo. But I can be proud of four down and fourteen to go.
